The Song Don’t you want me Baby is written by the human league and the idea for the lyrics was come up by their lead singer Philip Oakey when he was reading a photo-story in a teen-girl’s magazine. They then decided they were going to make it a conflict duet with one of the bands teen age female vocalists
The human league decided that this track was going to be made all with midi instruments and produced all digitally. The only instruments where a midi synth guitar and an LM-1 drum machine with the vocals being recorded in the studio’s loos. they then got Phil Oakey to Arrange and master the track who had also arranged for the tracks "Money For Nothing" by Dire Straits and "Take On Me" by a-ha. But when the track was recorded the engineer made a mistake and recorded it half a beat out of time but the group when they head it said “Wow that’s amazing” which was where that iconic sound’s come from.
The track was Mix Engineer or as they called it "Professional help" by Martin Rushent and in the days of 1980's mixing was not an easy job as too get the big grand synthesizer sound they had too layer lots of the same synth on top of each other and it would take hours as they would slightly drift out of tune in the process of duplicating the same track on his 32‑channel MCI console
The audience of the track "Don't you want me baby" was made to be listened by teens and adults that enjoyed post-punk’s pop. with the success of this track it was been remade by the original people to update how it sounds
The song Welcome To The Jungle is made by guns and roses after there experience in los Angeles on Sunset Boulevard or as they called it "Hell House" Axl Rose was sat down writing lyrics about the location they was stay while Slash was working on riffs on the other corner of the room and one of the riffs fitted Axls lyrics well to they decided to take they into production and make it a single
This track has 2 guitars a lead played by Slash and an rhythm and a drummer and singer Axl and they mainly made this song in there house as a group and had it recorded in as it was with no extra production of the audio just some light levelling and mastering for radio and digital and physical release
This track is know for its on stage perforce with a miked up drum kit singing and plugged in electric guitars that was ready recorded in for release in a non stage environment but to get this track know they gave it too compony MTV to release witch was a struggle as they felt the topic of this track was not suitable for broadcast as it was mainly about drugs in LA.
The audience was meant to be for people who enjoyed rock in the United States but it didn't take off there instead it took off in United Kingdom and is still used today in lots of British films and shows.
but later on in 1987 they re-released this track after there other track Sweet Child O' Mine in the US and it then took off.
This sound is also the main theme in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
