when masting the track I wanted the kick drum to sit just below the snare while having the melody and cords sit just below the drums be still be loud enough and while still being enjoyable

so i started by adding a compressor to the mix i used the oxford dynamics and turned on the warmth and compressor i then started dialling in the compressor to help with the LUFS and to bring all the drums together and so it fits well

i then started to work on the DB and LUFS on the Youlean meter for Spotify witch recommends an LUFS of -14LUFS and -1.0 DB but when masting you don't have to stay completely to those numbers. but to get to theses numbers i added a compressor and limiter working the together to help make the track louder and together.

in the end i got the track to -14.5LUFS and -1.9db witch felt right for the style of track
